The federal government offers tax credits for consumers who purchase qualifying high-efficiency heating and cooling products for their homes. For a limited time, anyone who purchases a qualifying ENERGY STARŪ -compliant, high-efficiency boiler, furnace or tankless water heater product in 2009 or 2010 will receive a tax credit worth 30% of upgrade costs, up to a $1,500 credit.
